It will be a very special Christmas for Callum Paddy, 24, and Kye Strowbridge, 23, who have just moved into their new home in Stowmarket and got engaged at the same time.

The couple, who met in college, recently signed on the dotted line for their very first home together at Hopkins Homes’ Mill Grove development in Stowmarket.

Ahead of the completion day, Callum secretly enlisted the help of Hopkins Homes business consultant Jacqui Spicer, who helped set up balloons and confetti so Callum could ask Kye the question when they put them on. feet in their new home for the first time.

Luckily Kye said yes and the happy couple are now eager to start their life together in their new home in Suffolk.

Jacqui Spicer, Business Advisor at Hopkins Homes, said: “When Callum asked for my help, I just couldn’t say no. It’s not every day that you arrive at work and have the opportunity to play a role in an employment proposal.

“At Hopkins Homes, we always say that we don’t just build homes, we create homes, and I’m very proud to be a part of that philosophy for Callum and Kye. We are overjoyed for this lovely couple and wish them all the best as they start a new life together.

Callum said: “When Kye said yes it was absolutely amazing. I think Kye was shocked because he wasn’t expecting it at all. He thought it would be the first time that one of had been visiting us since the end, he didn’t know it, I had secretly visited the night before with Jacqui to get ready. I was very nervous before proposing, but I am so glad it went well.

“I would like to say a big thank you to Jacqui for making this occasion so special and memorable.”

Callum works as a paramedic with the Eastern England Ambulance Service and Kye is a paralegal, in addition to studying for his Masters. The couple are now looking to plan the wedding in 2022.

Mill Grove at Stowmarket is developed by Hopkins Homes in association with the flagship group and offers a collection of one, two, three and four bedroom homes.

The purchase assistance program is available at development, with deposits of 5%.
