*** UPDATE ***
The collision occurred between a 2005 Toyota Rav 4 and a 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan. The driver of the Rav 4 was Amy Wesolowski, 34, of Riverhead, NY carrying passenger Gracelyn Perkowski, 4, of Riverhead, NY. The driver of the Tiguan was Sonya Fezza, 29, of Water Mill, NY.
Both drivers were taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center for treatment and released.
The passenger was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center and then taken to Stony Brook Hospital in critical condition.
Amy Wesolowski was arrested and charged with drug impaired driving, an A misdemeanor, endangering the welfare of a child, an A misdemeanor and an aggravated misdemeanor driving with child , of an electronic crime and is being held for the morning arraignment.
The collision is still under investigation and state police are asking anyone with information to call (631) 756-3300.
